Making your Bias Tape:
Create your Hong Kong Hem Finish
First of all, I would like to clarify something:
When looking for finished hems and details I found the Hong Kong finish to be the most professionally looking.
However, every single tutorial I've seen shows that the back of the hem (on the wrong side) will stay without folding it. This because they try to make the finish as light weight as they can.
It totally makes sense.
However, I keep thinking that it will look better if the back is folded too, but without the excess fabric....
..so this is what I made:
