Thanks for visiting my blog today.
This is my second raglan top, but the first one with long sleeves. You can see my first top here
What I love about this pattern is the simplicity, yet modern look of it.
The shoulder mix color seems to be the thing of the season. Funny story here: I needed sweaters for this season, and I have been so busy that I decided to go shopping instead of making my own.
I chose two long sleeves tops on a rush in a mall: you know, your kid wants to go home and you need to get things done, so I took two sweaters and bough them without trying them off.
Big Mistake, because I hated both.
The main reason: the padded shoulder area.
I do not really know what the fashion industry is thinking when deciding to bring shoulder pads back again, but for me, it is a NO-NO!
So, I decided to make my own. Easy project and very satisfying.
Fabric:
For the fabrics I chose Dotted Boulevard by Art Gallery Fabrics and a black jersey to mix.
As you know, I love this fabric and I have used it before for my Barbara Dress. After that one, I kept in mind the idea of a top with the Dotted Beauty :) Now it's done.
